Step 1: Official Notification of Certification for Graduation
UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE CANDIDATES
The Office of the Registrar will certify students academically for graduation and grant permission to participate in the University’s Commencement exercise. The Office of the Registrar will notify students of their certification only via Morgan email. No certifications will take place on the day of Commencement.
UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION
If a degree candidate is notified by the Office of the Registrar that they have not been certified for graduation and believe this is in error, they should contact their School – Office of the Dean – immediately to determine what requirements remain unfulfilled. If an error is discovered and resolved, the degree candidate may contact the Office of the Registrar at graduation@morgan.edu to have their status re-evaluated.
GRADUATE SCHOOL DEGREE CANDIDATES

If a graduate degree candidate is informed by the Office of the Registrar that they have not been certified for graduation and they believe this to be in error, then they should contact their graduate program coordinator immediately to determine what requirements remain unfulfilled. If an error is discovered and is resolved, the degree candidate may contact the Office of the Registrar at graduation@morgan.edu to have their status re-evaluated. Degree candidates should investigate as soon as they are notified of their unmet status.
