Certification for Graduation

Only degree candidates who have been officially cleared and certified for graduation by the Office of the Registrar may participate in the University’s Commencement Exercises.  There are two steps required in order for degree candidates to participate in the University’s Commencement Exercises.

Step 1: Official Notification of Certification for Graduation

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE CANDIDATES

The Office of the Registrar will certify students academically for graduation and grant permission to participate in the University’s Commencement Exercises. The Office of the Registrar will notify students of their certification only via Morgan email. No certifications will take place on the day of rehearsal or the day of Commencement.

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

If a degree candidate is notified by the Office of the Registrar that they have not been certified for graduation and believe this is in error, they should contact their School – Office of the Dean – immediately to determine what requirements remain unfulfilled.  If an error is discovered and resolved, the degree candidate may contact the Office of the Registrar at graduation@morgan.edu to have their status re-evaluated.

GRADUATE SCHOOL DEGREE CANDIDATES
